silver umax and the 5.75 concentric coil

i ordered a new 5.75 coil for my silver umax today and am anxious to take it to a few well hunted sites to see what it can find amongst the trash. would like to have the 12x10 coil also after reading here that it turns the silver umax into a deep machine for coins. anyone have any experience with either coil on the silver umax? i'd like to hear your thoughts on them......thanks.........joe dirt

Hey Roger

The 8 inch brown donut coil is the bigest Tesoro coil I ever use, but in extreme trash I'll go to a 7 inch concentric. JMHO.............Hombre

I just ordered a 5.75 concentric for my cibola today. I hear all the good things about them so I had to try it!

I have the 12X10 I use sometimes on my Deleon. If you were looking for something bigger than coins, the large coil is great with larger finds like caches, cannonballs, etc reaching 13"-15", stuff you would dig with a shovel. I find the larger coil masks too much when trying to find anything small like a coin, and don't expect much more depth over the standard coil on coins. Plus the weight. Relic hunting, yes. Coins, no.

Just my thoughts.

Dan

I would also like to know about the 5.75" on the Silver-we already know what a fine machine the Silver is. So how about it guys.

Hey Gunnar

My Bandido ll uMax will hit 6 inch dimes with the 5.75 coil with a soft repeatable response, remember deep coins don't 'bang in there' like a 4 inch target.

I use both the 5.75 and 4" on the Silver Umax killer coils in the trash , lightweight and good depth you wont be dissapointed with the small coil . Havnt used the 12x10 but it gets rave reviews as far as depth goes , a bit nose heavy ...I use the 11" DD on the Silver it gives excellent coverage and is light enough to swing for hrs

I use a 5.75 coil on my Eldorado U max, DeLeon and Cibola and love it. See my post (about 2 weeks ago) "Day off work +car getting fixed.....", I was running the Eldorado on sensitivity between 2 and 3 (out of 10) and the silver ring was about 3" down, It was dead centre in the plug I dug, so pinpointing is great too. Use it, you'll love it.

I used the 5.75" today on the vaquero and what a weapon i was at ski area parking lot picking up clad and i tell you there's no need of a pinpointer with this coil, love it!
