silver u-max chatter

New member
Last time out at a tot lot I started getting a lot of chatter on my new silver u-max. I replaced the battery and continued to get chatter. After getting home checked around my back yard and chatter was still persistent. Any ideas??

Possibly Electrical interference? Check your coil connection and try another battery. I've had a Silver sabre umax go crazy on me, changed the battery same problem - thought I was going to have to send it in.. Third battery problem solved and haven't had any trouble since. Just because a battery should be new doesn't always guarantee that it is good.

Try turning your sensitivity down alittle. Steve.

Increase the discrimination a bit until the stability smoothes out, These Tesoro's are so sensitive sometimes an unknown nearby interference will effect it's stability.

Give it a try, Most of the time it works! You may encounter some loss of sensitivity on tiny low conductive targets but not that much.
