Silver streak is still alive....10 hunts in a row now. Hit an old house got nothing but clad. House number 2 was getting 1990 clad at 7 inches I gave it an hour and bolted had time for one more house and I was getting nervous I was gonna get no silver. Hit the small yard and nothing but a wheat so headed to the curb strip and bam! Silver quarter! War nickel and silver Rosie!!!! Yes!!!! Picked up a few wheats and a token as well

Oh yeah!!! Nice hunts Terry! Thanks for the pictures.

I hope you keep it rolling, it's hard to find Silver every single hunt, Congrats.

I have yet to find a War Nickel this year ;(

Ok, you are officially making me envious and jealous now!

Are you just door knocking for permission?
yes, thats what I do almost all year when fields are planted

Something I've been wondering about lately.... When you door-knock:

1) How long do you typically stay at a given site?
2) Is it generally a one-time thing, or do you usually go back?
3) If it's an unoccupied area (abandoned house, vacant field, etc) and you get permission, do you still call and get permission (or at least "make aware") before going back again?

Something I've been wondering about lately.... When you door-knock:

1) How long do you typically stay at a given site? all sites are different, I will stay till my buddy and I have gone across it all if it is giving up finds
2) Is it generally a one-time thing, or do you usually go back? I will ask to go back if I am getting finds and cannot cover it all in one day
3) If it's an unoccupied area (abandoned house, vacant field, etc) and you get permission, do you still call and get permission (or at least "make aware") before going back again? not normally, in this places I go back until I am satisfied I have covered it well, if it is a field I go back anytime the farmer moves
