Very new to the Tesoro family, just bought my first Tesoro on line 2 weeks ago...Trying to figure out how the Threshold works on this machine...please help......

 Hi, Just turn on the detector , set discrimination on 2, set sensitivity on 9, push red button and turn the threshold knob until you hear a long tone then back it off until you can just barely hear it. Release button and go !!:detecting:

as reddirtfisher stated just turn it back until you hear a slight hum, i use higher threshold on my lobo just to make it easier to hear, really its preference.

I have several SSumax detectors and find that most of the time the threshold ends up set at or about 3:00 oclock. I read somewhere that the Threshold setting has an effect on the discrimination circuit and recommended the threshold should be set to where it's at least audible.
