Silver Sabre Umax threshold disc mode question

I am not sure on the answer to this question. I am selling my Silver Sabre Umax detector and the buyer asked if the threshold works in the disc mode on this detector. From what I can tell in disc mode if the threshold is increased it gives a little louder audio response on a target, allowing me the ability in an air test to get a response on a target that is moved further away from the coil than if I decrease the threshold. I usually just set my Bandido II umax and Eldorado Umax with the threshold being at a slight hum and then ground balance my detector and leave it. With not knowing much about threshold, I am wondering if I am missing an opportunity to find more targets by increasing the threshold. It is something I will have to research more. Any info on my question with the Silver Sabre Umax and if threshold works in Disc mode would be appreciated. I need answers ASAP. Shipping it tomorrow. Thank you.

Fishers Ghost is correct. However, the manual mentions that the threshold should be set to an audible hum in all metal (pinpoint button depressed) over a clean spot of ground to give the best results. I've played with mine and with no threshold hum the depth falls off in disc. mode. The threshold ties to both modes.

Thanks BB, I was not aware of the link between the Pinpoint threshold and the disc mode re the Sil Sab micromax, so I also have learnt something today
