Silver Sabre uMAX- Should I Upgrade?

with my Pantera. It doesnt get a lot of depth, but I love every other aspect about it. I'm keeping mine, but have added the bandito II uMax to get a little more depth, if I need it. I've had both ED120 and ED180 detectors, and think I like the ED120's a little better. They just seem to hunt smoother and quieter without all those annoying pops and crackles.

I currently own a Silver Sabre Umax that I am very happy with. I have become very comfortable with it and it's simplicity. Although I have found a lot with this detector I don't feel that I am getting the depth that I need and I am leaving alot behind at the older places I search. On the average, the coins I dig are just below the surface to about 4 inches. I want to stay with the Tesoro brand and was wondering if it would be smart to upgrade to a different model or could it be that I am doing something wrong? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would keep the Silver and try to get larger coils before upgrading to a new detector. You'd be surprised at what you will find at an increased depth as a result of getting a bigger coil. Once you have "cleaned-up" with the new 'larger' coil, then it would be wise to get a different detector or an "up-grade". Every time you go in to your old hunting sites, they will produce due to the "larger coil".
Just my opinion.
