Silver Sabre Umax sent into Tesoro

I spoke with Robert yesterday at Tesoro and was pleased with the time he took to talk to me about a problem I am having with the Silver Sabre Umax I purchased recently in excellent condition. I was well pleased with the staff I spoke with there from the person who answered the phone initially and the time and patience Robert had as I explained to him that my Sabre was not getting any depth, I was only finding surface targets to 3 or 4" regardless of sensitivity setting, threshold setting, and disc level. My Compadre was finding things deeper than my Silver Sabre( with the 8" coil on it). Not to knock my Compadre though. I have found my best stuff with it. I was surprised though that the silver Sabre did not get more depth, so I sent it into the shop. sorry for the long story. My main point is Tesoro builds quality machines at an affordable price, and has the best customer service I have seen in a long time, regardless of what kind of company you are dealing with. The airlines and some other companies could do well to follow their example. I was not put on hold and Robert was the second person I talked to with very little wait time. Thank you Tesoro for making this great hobby enjoyable and affordable. You guys rock!!!

The only thing I hate about Tesoro is that they are not close to home. I would love to go to the factory and see the insides of these things.

I live in Utah about 8 hours away. Not too bad of a drive. I don't know if the wife would be as excited as I would about a vacation to the Tesoro factory. I would like to see it some day, for now I will be content swinging the detectors made by them.

:cool:Hey, ...You guys can see the inside of the factory from home. Log on to youtube and search for "tesoro factory tour".....it's pretty cool.....

I have seen that and it is pretty cool. daddyflea was just saying he would like to see the inside of the machines. I don't remember them showing the insides on the video other than the coil unless I am thinking of the wrong video.
