Silver Sabre u/max finds CS Breckinridge

No, that's not someone lost, rather some thing. One of our friends from MS recently made a super find; a solid cast CS "Breckinridge" belt plate. This sturdy belt plate was sand cast using a high Copper content Brass the South referred to as "Red Brass." The finder sent it to me for authentication and for the Certificate of Authenticity (COA). This was his first Civil War belt plate (buckle) and what a great way to start a collection! I was given permission to photograph and share with everyone. Just goes to show; you don't have to spend $1,500 to get a good metal detector. I think the Silver series are excellent detectors for the money. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
