I have an old silver sabre 2 detector. I received it from my uncle before he passed, but I do not have a mannual for it. As I am a beginner, I would like any help on where to get one, or the propper way to tune/ballence it. Thank's

I did a google search for a manual for your detector type. It took me to the Tesoro website (www.Tesoro.com). The full manual is available there. You are lucky to own a Tesoro. They are the best machines out there in my opinion and many people praise them and speak highly of them. This forum has a lot of great info on it and many people who are willing to answer any ?'s you might have. Make sure you get out there soon and shake the dust off your new best friend. Good luck and hh.

Tesoro detectors are number 1 in my book. Here is the download link to your detector http://www.tesoro.com/info/manuals/older/silversabreii/

Good luck with your new detector. Remember the more you use it, the better you will become.

Thats a real Good detector also. So don't go thinking you need a newer one with a flashy display screen. Do some reading and learn whats it's telling you. Good Luck on your finds Jay

This detector is basically a turn on and go Bandido, turn it on, set the sensitivity to about 7 or 8, switch to all-metal and set threshold knob to audible tone, flip it back to motion disc, set disc. level to min. and swing away. If you want to find only upper conductivity coins, throw a beavertail pulltab on the ground and turn up disc. knob untill broken signal is acchieved, be aware that setting up disc. like this, nickels and most gold jewelery will be missed. Very simple, yet effective metal detector, good luck with yours.......

Thank you for the info on a manual for my Silver Sabre II. I think I have a godd idea how to get started. I was searching in a small creek that run's through my property today and found something I can not identify. It is shaped like a small hatchet but it is made of what looks like layered steel. it is extreemly hard and appears to be very old. It was about 18" deep under 10" of water. Thank's again for everyones help

The Silver Sabre II is a great machine. I traded mine, and still wish I hadn't. Great on rings, silver and gold, and a very good coin hunter as well. Good luck with it.
