Silver Sabre 2 vs. Bandido 2

Where do these line up against each other in terms of the Tesoro line-up and abilities in the field?

Howdy Elwood

Both of these detectors share the same control box, so they look similar. The SS ll operates at 12kHz frequency while the Bandido ll operates at 10kHz.

They weight the same at 3 lbs. and use 2 9 volt batteries. The only Big difference is that the Bandido has a ten turn ground balance adjustment.

The SS ll has a fixed ground balance. If it were me choosing and buying one or the other.........I'd pick the Bandido ll.

They are both older detectors made in the early 1990's, but they are good detectors and run much quieter than the new ones. Either one would be a great choice in my opinion.

Best in the business once you get the hang of manual ground balancing...turn the ground balance until it feels harder to turn and then reverese 5 complete turns and should be a good starting point close to center..
