Silver rom a Neighbor's Yard

unearth

Member
Hello All-
My neighbor across the street saw me using my detector in my front yard and came over to inquire as to what I was doing. I told him I was testing the different settings on my E-Trac. Joe, my neighbor, became very curious and interested in how the detector worked and was very surprised at all the different things I have found.
I asked Joe if he would allow me to detect his front yard and if I found anything, it was his. He said, "sure, go ahead". So, this is my first outing results in Joe's yard.
'43 D merc; '53 S rosie; 5 wheaties, all in the '50's.
By the way, Joe let me keep the coins.

Nice diggin. I would have done a happy dance with a hour hunt like that!

I'm starting to think that the town I work in must have a disproportionately large number of detectorists or the population has always been very poor. It took me 30 hours to get two silvers and 15+ wheats from 6 different houses that we demolished...LOL. But I dug a LARGE amount of clad. The places must of been hammered in the 80s and 90s. Any of you forum members responsible for sucking everything outta Gainesville, GA??? :please:
