Silver Ring

Rob (IL)

New member
I sent an hours hunting a little park that is loaded with scrap and fill. I was using my stereo mixed mode because of the fill and found this silver ring. It was around 6" deep. Rob

What a nice ring. Those little ittie bittie parks can really turn up some nice stuff. Hope you didn't have to drive to far to find a place to swing the hoop. :)

That is a beauty Rob, it looks like a Naval Air Reserve or Corps ring.

ok..I'll ask. What program, what were you settings? et al :)

Did you use the polar plot? Or signagraph? What version of the happy dance did you do? :):wiggle::)

That is a nice ring:clapping:

Also it's nice to know the program you used and a few of the main settings, RX, Disc, and filter.

What coil were you running?

Being that I'm a newb with the V3i it'd be helpful to know.

Thanks
DJH

First let me say that rings are usually in the top 6 inches for me so you don't need a super program to find them. The program I was running was for deep targets because I know the park was redone and the deep targets have fill over them. So understand the program is not a jewelry program. Also stereo mixed mode is noisy anywhere there is trash but I was trying to punch through the fill.

I was running my Hi Pro with stereo Mixed mode
I was using my D2 which I use anytime I want to go deep.
Rx 10 All Metal 70 Disc 92
Recovery 100
5 band filter
SAT 10
AutoTrac 15 +1

Custom tones
I reject nothing
set iron VDI to 5
+95 to 0 tone

Thanks Rob for the info.

I might try running that sometime.

Haven't given much thought to Mixed Mode. How do you like the way it sounds?

Sorry for the multiple questions, but it wasn't until yesterday that I foundout that the V3 manual coincides with the V3i, so more reading is coming real soon:lol:

The program gives plenty of information and for many too much information. There is no doubt it is busy. I would suggest using it only where the ground is trash free, and the targets are deep. I do well with it.

I might just give that Mode a try this weekend at an old military school haunt that has very little trash with a bunch of goodies that have dated to the mid-late 1800's.

Ran the Minelab E there wide open and got used to that after a while, so if this mode is anything such as that or nearly close, it may just grow on me.

One other thing Rob, Is your program C&J Based? Ooops! just seen that you're running Hi-Pro

VERY nice looking ring Rob! :clapping: It looks like it's a military type of some sort. She sure is a beauty. Good hunting and good ear! HH, Nancy

As I have said before, except for the base threshold, when all the adjustments are made it doesn't matter what program you start with. :heh:

WTG , Thats a Lot of Silver, Mic
