Silver ring from a new park and a cool token.

I got out a little this afternoon and detected up a Port of Hope token along side the road by the college. I think the Port of Hope is a local alcohol treatment center. I also got a little silver ring in a 2 year old park in a little subdivision park. It was about 4 inches below the mesh in the sod. It is sterling but had a trace of some plating left on it. It polished right off. It was a little windy but temps till in the 40s and no snow. Idigid

Nice hunt! The ring is cool. Love finding tokens!

With this ring I am up to 8 Silver and 3 Gold rings for the year. I wanted to find as much gold as silver this year but i dont think it will happen. I dig every possible gold signal if both the FE and CO mumbers dont move. Someone told me that a Gold ring will have either the FE or CO number not move at all and the other number will only move by one number. They also said if both numbers jump while circling the targer it is not gold. So far all my Gold had both numbers staying still. Idigid

Thanks for the Tip on the Gold #'s ! Does the numbers holding steady hold true on all or most shapes of gold? Or is it more of a thing for an intact circle ?

One of the rings had a broken band that I found with the etrac last year. It was broken at the very bottom of the band. I didnt notice until I went to polish it. It held true at 12-03 for 3 full trips around it. Next time I get some target that I am sure is gold I will do a full dig video. I will get the Gold numbers for you minimac. I have also never found gold that I had a FE number of 11 or 13 but I assume that it is possible and think that some others here on the forum have found gold with those numbers. I think the lowest gold CO number was 01 and the highest was 25. Idigid
