banditicey

New member
These are the Silver Dimes and War Nickel we found on some recent hunts

There is a Sterling Ring Brian found that was almost the same as the one I found recently (different locations)

I included some of the stuff we found and the IH and plated religious metal

Thanks For Viewing

Awesome many congrats on the finds!

Congrats on lots of silver! Yeah the quarters just don't show up enough, but I wll take silver dimes every hunt.

Nice finds. A few of those Merc's look like they were dropped yesterday! Thanks for posting the pics and good luck on your next hunt!

are you leaving all the Quarters behind for me?:clapping:
wish I could dig through that hard soil at some of those old parks we did in the spring. just a chance of weekend rain then dry again.
Congrats on the dimes , and other cool keepers! HH

Nice finds. It seems the ole quarter was too big to fall thru the tiny hole in one's pocket, or most of them are hiding in trash, or they were harvested over the years by detectorists. Couple these facts with the mint numbers were far greater for dimes over quarters. Maybe that's the reason for the quarter finds shortage.

Nice coins there Eva, I've been experiencing a quarter drought here in Michigan as well... I need a Barber-Q to complete the summer!

I have only found one Barber Quarter and on SLQ in three years of detecting(almost 4?) and both in the past year

We are also VERYY DRYY

Good Luck and HH

Nice finds Eva, Im just not followed by dimes or quarters, as a mater of fact in this season (my first realy hunting season) I have found only 5 silver dimes 4 merc and 1 rosy. 1 Barber 1904. 3 halves a 1942 S a 1944 and 1964 Kennedy and 2 morgan dollars one from 1891 and the other from 1921 D.
I have been hunting on City parks that had been Hunted all out acording to the other members of the group.
I guess just PURE LUCK!
HH.

Pretty impressive amount of loot there Eva!! Glad you folks are finding good coins and relics. As for here right in the center of Illinois , bone dry ground, Im praying for soaking rains!!

Nothing wrong with finding silver dimes -- looks like a nice haul. The last 12 silvers I've found have all been dimes.

Great finds...quarters are getting tougher and tougher to come across! I think that lock key is for a "pancake lock". It would insert in the bottom and push in...no turning. I found a lock earlier this year.
HH,

I think I'm digging all of the silver quarters this year. It's my turn.

I found a lot of silver Quarters in the late 70's early 80's they use to be as plentiful as you find clad quarters today.even back then my Garret Deep Seeker would go 6 inches on a quarter there were a lot more people hunting and more detector clubs.I remember hunting the state parks back then here in Illinois no one bothered you and pockets were full of silver and drug pipes you do not even find them much anymore. So what I am telling you is in the last 40 years of metal detector advancement we have gain only 3 to 4 stinking inches from an old analog machine that found more silver than any of these new machines in the last 20 years have ever found. The answer to your question is we old guys found them.Nice Dimes
