This morning my GT and I were at a local city park shorty after daylight. Had to get up early to beat the heat. I have been working this park very carefully over the past few visits and have been able to find three Mercury Dimes. I am going quite slow and listening for those deeper targets. I think all the shallow stuff (except Zincs) have already been removed.
I did not find much this morning but I did not expect to find very much. I collected $1.95 in clad and some Lincolns. Only one wheatie (1951).
I did make one find that I am not sure about. The GT gave a good high tone and the meter registered a 180 on this item. It appears that it may have at one time been a bracelet.
The item is too heavy to be aluminum (33 Grams) and is not magnetic so I am hopeful that it is sterling. I do not own a test kit so I will just have to hope that it is silver. The diameter is 3/16" at its smallest.
Now I have to go back to the park and search to see if I can find where the lawn mower tossed the rest of it.
