Silver or Golden Umax

Thinking of getting into the tesoro line of detectors. I am looking for some opinions on which detector is better?

Thanks,
Kevin

I keep reading great reviews about the silver. Its price is also great to. I have spoken to some people who also use the Golden and say they are great. I would like to here some more opinions.

Thanks
Kevin

you've already heard some good advice. Now I suppose it boils down to your preferences. One has the tones and notch, the other doesnt. I would personally go for the Golden, because I like those two extra features, especially for coinshooting, which is what I mostly do. Either way, I dont think you will go wrong. Hey, good luck with your decision!

Some folks like the beep dig approach which is fine...for them.

I personally like a little more information because I may just be out for less trash and more fun

The Golden lets me do that. I can just hunt for high coins, or just for nickels & high coins, or nickels & high coins, less zincs, or maybe just foil & high coin, or maybe just.....you get the picture.

Another plus of the Golden...you can hunt in those filthy little steel bottle cap slums in parks and ball fields and pick the good stuff out without having to stand around analyzing every high coin tone. That alone is reason enough in my book :beers:

Good luck with your choice!

Tones Rule :yo:

Mike, I think you have me talked into a Golden, SOUNDS like alot of fun! Heh Heh..... I probably will have one within 2 weeks, I already read the online manuel, look forward to your tips on setting that "bad-boy" up! Aaron

Good choice Kd4hee,

Glad to see you're sick and tired of my golden out-hunting that Quattro of yours. *snicker, snicker*

See you out there buddy.
