SILVER NECKLACE and SILVER RING - snorkel metal detecting

sdesic

New member
Done another short hunt on lake
3 1/2 hours total

Started with sand scoop but after 30 minutes and only 2 targets retrieved
I switched back to snorkeling.

It was a bit cold even with a wet suit.

Loot for this hunt.
Crusty silver necklace - it was hard to clean - broken in few places and tied with a string.
Was in water for a long time.
Silver ring is also broken - but nice design. Unique.

Had a visit from large fish that cruises around.
Close to touch and grab :)

Thanks guys.
I had problems taking silver oxide off that necklace.
It is had stuff. Electrolysis has done its thing but it needs more tlc but it is falling apart.

Salt water can be a harsh environment on silver rings and chains that have spent some time on the sea floor, but you did a fine job cleaning up that chain. WTG

This lake is fresh water :)
with some coal and sand added to the mix.
