Just got back from a 3 day detecting/RR hunting trip. Dug 150 coins, 2 gold rings, 4 Edison bottles and a huge Mother Teresa 925 medal. The Edison bottles are collectible and held oil for railroad batteries out in the desert. The oil kept the solution from evaporating and they go back to the very early 1900's.

Ring on the left is stamped 10 K. The other one is stamped 14 K. However, it also has a CI on it, haven't seen this before. I'll take it to the jeweler tomorrow and see plus have them check for diamond chips.

Dug this Mother Teresa medal - must be close to one ounce - probably the biggest silver thing I have dug. Got a silver dollar one time and this is as big or bigger.

When I dug the medal I thought it looked like silver but couldn't find any stamp. Later that night in the motel room I discovered it on the edge of the medal. What a thrill to see that !
Other than getting sick - cold or something - all went well on the trip, Steve in so az
