Silver In The Rain

I really love to detect, even if it's raining and it's winter time. The winter weather gets me digging where I usually don't go in the summer weather. Pulled this out of the lake at an undisclosed location, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it. A 1940 Jefferson. All kinds of detectors swinging around in this spot, and i come up with this one, using my 1280X aquanaut. This time settings were 9.5 sensitivity, 5 discrimination, and 5 volume. It was actually pretty shallow, I'm guessing less than 5" deep, I almost did'nt dig it, because I thought it was a modern coin. I'm digging faint deep signals mostly. Also got an old lipstick, a nice religious medallion with no hallmarks, (looks silver & copper), a 1947 Canadian Penney, a 1948 nickel, and an old brass suspender clasp. Lot's of trash, which I take home and dispose of, then I don't have to dig it again. Because I'll be back, Lord willing. Go get you some!

I'm jealous, been a while since I found me one of them thar Jefferson/Washingtons.
Lucky dog!
