Silver illuded me.:sadwalk:

Went out with a new friend to detect some old
school sites. I used the MXT in relic mode trigger forward.
Two were comletely unidentifyable only the old
pieces of cement and pieces of iron we found there.
We tried a while to see if the coins may still be
recoveded but were unsuccessful.
Two of the sites were good I recovered two old pennies
in the 1940's and a 1952 nickel plus the usual
assortment of pieces of old school items.
Also some modern clad.
My friend was more successful picked up some older coins and two
dimes that were silver .
Day turned out a beauty in finds and weather.

That's the way it goes sometimes, I have been hunting the same construction site for 4 days where they are tearing down three old houses. Only 2 silver coins so far & I think I have about covered it all at least three times. Sometimes there just is not much to find but it is still fun.

Oh yes it's fun! Even when you come home with empty bags. It's the thrill of the hunt and honestly, one never is skunked unless you just don't try. Two old pennies are better than none. Be thankful you CAN get out and hunt. The weather here has been beautiful also. Picture perfect. HH, Nancy
