Howdy folks !
Had an incredible hour or so at a tot lot today !! First I went to a tot lot that someone has been cleaning out for me , I found 2 zincs and eyeballed a clad dime .
So I went to one I haven't hit in a couple of months where I found a long ,silver dangly earring last visit and I'll be darned if I didn't find the mate to it after all this time .
I also found a tiny 10k baby ring that says girl , a very small thin Virgin Mary
medallion that may be gold plated and $1.88 .
I'm also starting to get the hang of this new camera of mine !!
I had such a fun day that my lust for gold and silver has been temporarily satisfied and I can do my house chores and slavery trip for a few days without being bummed out .
Funny how a couple of good finds can brighten your outlook .
Weapon of choice today was the XT-50 .

THE DIME IS NOT SILVER , IT'S JUST THERE FOR A SIZE GAUGE .

I spend most of my time hunting for old coins at old sites. I certainly like old SILVER! But when folks such as yourself post finds of GOLD, it makes me think twice about those parks I drive by on my way to those old farmsites. Hmmmmmm? Might be time to rethink this strategy. Especially with the price of gold........ and the cost of gasoline! HH Randy

Great finds Dirt Doc. Ive never been a very lucky park hunter myself so I tend to leave it all to guys like yourself to clean em up.
Your right about rethinking how far to drive these days Digger I dont know what you guys pay for juice over there but I just tanked up my old banger at $1.52 a litre. Ouch.

Gas is hovering around $3.15 per US gallon here. If I recall, that would be between $5.50 and $6.00 per gallon with your prices. I try to not think about the amount of gas I burn driving to my sites. And I will say it is a lot easier to ignore it when you make some finds. My brother is meeting up with me tomorrow to hunt an old grove. I'll make a post when we get back. If I make a post complaining about gasoline prices instead of old coins, you will know the coin shooting wasn't any good! HH Randy

Costs me $10 to fill up a 8.5 litre tank which lasts me 240kms, now thats good fuel consumption. 2007 model KLX 250 right off the showroom floor. Go the Green machine!! B.T sounds like you need one of these  Hey Digger some of the big trucks and cars over you're way are becoming nothing but non moving metal over here, with prices getting jacked up each week it will end up back to the horse and cart days of old, and thats not being funny either.
Cheers!

Gas prices.

Today in Norway the price for 95 octan is 2,4 usd pr litre. 12,5 NOK.

at 3.8 litre a gallon leaves the gallon price at 9 dollars.....
