Silver & Gold Thanks White's

Silver & gold silver & gold, c'mon sing it with me folks. Sorry got carried away. Got an old but new to me White's Liberty Di the other day, very first hit on was a silver ring, also found a 1951 dime. All this is 10 minutes before dark, on a not so good note the battery door hinges on the Liberty was broke when I received it but taped on good. Went home after finding the ring and dime and when I got in the house I noticed the battery door was missing. I went back to where I lost it today and couldn't find it, probably some kids got to it before I could. While I was there I did alittle more detecting, found a few coins and a gold ring. The silver ring was not real silver and the gold ring was not real gold but very well could of been. I will probably have better luck finding hens teeth than I will finding another battery door for the Liberty. Steve.

[size=large]ya never know. those hens teeth might be gold filled. :)

Use the old duct tape trick for that battery door

It might be worth the call to White's Steve..... hard telling what they have laying around on the shelves. Also an ad in the classifieds might bring you a parts unit, I gave mine away years ago to a guy wanting one for parts.

I emailed White's late last night and never got a reply which is not un heard of but what I found odd was I called the Sweet Home office two or three times today and no one answered the phone. I was told that Todd Marshall @ White's is "the man" to talk with.

They get hundreds of Emails a day, a phone call is the only way to go. This number should get you directly to Todd if you don't have it, (541) 367-6121.

Thanks Larry

That stone looks like it might possibly be a pink tourmaline. If it is, and its high quality, its worth some serious dough. Congrats!!!

BTW.......Todd is the man......so nice.......and honest. He's the only one I let work on my Silver Eagle when she needs help.

White's did return my call this morning. Todd was out w/the flu today but spoke to a very nice lady named Mary, she is going to see if she can find me a battery cover for the old Liberty Di and if she locates one she said she will send it out to me :whites::thumbup:.
