Ron , you must hunt Ritter Park, I have been there one time and want to go back. I live about 30 mi. down 23 from Ashland KY. I have some friends that hunt Ritter a lot. Maybe I will see you there sometime. flintstone

Here's my silver find for the day, after Ron told me it was a 1916, I started praying it was a D but it wasn't. RATS!
Still loved finding a coin that old (103 years) , looks like she was used for awhile before getting lost, lots of wear but the date was still easy to read.
Our goal this year is to find a liberty seated coin, still haven't got it yet but we keep hoping.

Now the rest of the story, my brother and I flag our targets and try to hunt a section and then we get together at each flag and check each detector over the others targets. Now for that dime he flagged it and I checked the target and called it iron by the numbers on the E-Trac (33-45) and said I wouldn't dig it.

Man that was a wake up call.

We put the dime back in the hole and now the E-Trac says 12-45.

Hi Ron,

That's a wake up call for both of us! I don't run an Etrac however I have run the Sovereign series. Also, BBS / FBS detectors are famous for their abilities in "uncovering" silver. What detector was your brother using? Thanks for telling the whole story.

My brother was running his one and only Fisher F5 with the stock 11"DD and I will add he does very well with silver coins.

Nice finds!! that pendant looked familiar.. I went and checked my silver stash and I have one that I found exactly like yours.
Nice chunk of silver there too. great finds!!!

The woods have been good to you this year. Nice place to hunt this time of year to get out of the heat with the shade all the trees provide. Nice job on the silvers.

Nice finds guys . I am hoping to be able to hit the permission I have near Point Pleasant again this coming weekend. Going to change coils and dig some of those IFFY targets just to see what they are. Maybe I can unmask another silver coin. Love seeing your finds.

Howdy WV62--

Excellent finds. I really like that Saint Michael medal. It looks like you have a good spot there in the woods. Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
