Silver from my first 2012 hunt. Can't believe we are hunting in Indiana.

It was a terrible, ugly day. I am pretty sure only a crazy man would have ventured out, but after being stuck in the house all morning and watching treasure hunting videos, I had to try. I went to an old site that I had recently gotten permission to hunt. Out in the middle of the bean field I turned on the SE, took thee swings, and had my first coin. It was dark and ugly, I knew it had to be a penny. I was hoping for an Indian or a flying cent but kept hunting. Heard the sweet high tone of silver and dug a deep plug. I kicked it and the dirt fell apart with a beautiful silver edge showing in the mud. I was freezing but kept looking a little longer. No other silver volunteered to go home with me. Headed for the warm car. Cleaned the first penny and it was a rotting away zinc. I couldn't even get a date off of it. So glad I didn't quit thinking I had something good. Thankful to be out in Indiana. Freeze is coming, but I had fun today.
