Silver from a corn field?

jabbo

It's very rare for me to find silver in crop fields. Today was one of those rare days. Found the quarter within 2 or 3 minutes then found the no-date buffalo nickle but the corn stalks were 12" high. Too hard to swing the coil, stayed only 15 minutes. The dime was found in the woods 2 days ago along with the musket ball and the silver plated button. Temp was about 60 degrees today, figured I better go out and swing the coil before the temp nose dives again. Last week the temp was so cold I actually saw a democrat with his hands in his own pockets.

Very nice, looks like the musket ball has teeth marks, the would bite them when they got shot.
Thus the term bite the bullet.

Awsome Finds!!!!! Barber Quarters are very cool!!!!

Great eye finding the new spot.A barber in couple minutes is a great sign of much more to come.

Very cool finds. Keep hitting that place hard. I love your saying about the democrat. Very true about a lot of our gov. officials. HH-Mark

Ken, the button was found near Camp Kilmer. No shank, back side is like the metal button on jeans. Maybe from a military uniform.

Nice finds. Last cornfield I was in produced a merc and a large cent, date unreadable. It was my first large cent, so I was happy anyway. I have never seen a Democrat with his hands in his own pockets..... Did you get a picture?
