Silver Earring's , Finally:clapping:

Mark7

New member
Well I finally found real jewelry :bouncy: Not big money but means a lot to me. I have hunted this spot I call the (Clad hole) six times now and have found 471 coins so far with still about a third of it to hunt over for the first time. I had my third 100 plus coin day with 133 coins Friday at this spot. I decided to go in the small ball field to hunt and happy I did. I found this pair of sterling silver earring's I thought silver coin at first till I popped the plug out and saw one earring and said to myself awesome! stuck the TRX in the hole and got a hit could it be yep there was the other earring in the same dang hole(this is a ball field so I thought that was strange both in the same hole in deep center field) Like I say and feel THINGS ARE WERE YOU FIND THEM. I also found three more rings all junk but still rings in my book. The center one with the little stones is a purity ring mark so inside it is in bad shape. The one is real cheap I believe it is aluminum and was smashed flat when I found it . The one with the black stone is cool and looks pretty old. Now the second odd thing to happy here was I found seven nickles stacked on top of each other in one hole 5" deep ,what are the odds that happening most likely have better odds hitting the big lottery! I found 28 nickles on this hunt that's a first too. Got two Wheat Penny's and a cool button with a pic of a very old car on it, the metal shank it missing.
WOW what a fun day it was.

I use a Whites XLT

Good job of detecting. Congratulations I usually only find one ear ring. I did find a pair that were hooked together a year or two ago at a beach. If you are finding wheat pennies keep working that place as there very well could be a stray silver coin hiding somewhere.

Good hunting there Mark7! That ring with the black stone has the look of an old sterling ring that the elements have gotten to. That's a really cool button too. The XLT is a fine detector that will more than pay for itself. Best of luck and...

Thanks Blind Squirrel for the heads up on the ring. No markings on it and I was wondering about it too much so I cleaned it a bit ( wish I did not clean it I know better and liked the patina on it better anyhow and also I damaged the stone a tiny bit :rage:) Lesson learned will not happen again. Anyhow here is a pic of it cleaned, it is silver . Another first for me on what was a great and very fun day of detecting.

I really enjoy the XLT it is easy and fun to use.

Found one silver Rosie 1964 here on my second time here detecting. I believe I may find more in time. Many dimes and quarters dated in the mid 60's a few nickles dated 1961 and 1964,same with a few pennies and five Wheaties. Just missing silver.

Congrats on the silver ring and ear rings..... 471 pieces of clad aint no joke either... if the gold ever gets under your coil im sure you will find it... just a matter of time...

Nice finds and Silver!
