SILVER DROUGHT IS OVER

Da Yooper

New member
Had to make a run and pick up some more contacts so I could see again. Stopped at this little park on the way back to do some swinging and picked up $3.32 in clad and one 1949 silver nickel, yes I did the happy dance. The silver drought has been broken. Also found a Canadian dime and quarter in the same hole.

AHHH #%$@* your right 46 and up back to pre war compostion. I feel sick The drought is back on.

Well I just asked in another of your post how you had been doing with your finds. I see you have been doing quite well. I keep going back to that grade school here after work all week and done ok. I did manage a 1941 Nickel, a 1943 Silver Nickel, a watch and lots and lots of pencils.

U.P. Northwoods, sounds like your doing very good yourself. At least your finding silver, it's been 60+ days since I pulled a silver coin out of the hole but still getting a fair amount of clad. I have pulled a silver pin (broach) and a copper/silver nugget out of the hole but no silver coins. I think we need a 2 day rain to soak the ground then maybe things will change. Do you remember the Laird school? When you get back up here we should plan on spending a day there. I'm pretty sure I lost a few coins there when I was a kid.

Heck ya I remember the Laird School. Awesome idea. Only about a mile or so from our house. I remember when they tore it down. I went out today at the school. Felt like I was in the Phillipines with the dang humidty so high. .84 cents but better than getting skunked and learning about this M6 every time I go out. Tomorrow the wife and I are going to go look at some digital cameras. Then I can post my finds. Keep digging and that sounds like a good idea to hunt Laird! - Northwoods out
