From the land of the Bluenose.....was the last day open for the season at one of our provincial parks so Marie and I packed a picnic and the "gear" and headed out. Weather had forecasted winds of 50 to 70 kilometers an hour which made for some nice size waves!

as far as what is usually found on this lake. A few hardy souls braved the winds and joined me in the lake which, thank goodness I entered with an empty stomach as I was tossed about quite a bit.

Mind you this photo doesn't do the waves justice.

In one scoop I came up with 10 coins and too boot not one penny. Rest of the swish was rather tame with the only thing of note was a neat butterfly ring found.

Half an hour later we were on our way home as Marie wanted to catch her show....."General Hospital." I dropped her off and went to a local school yard to complete my 50 coin day. Forty minutes later I was back home with the quota reached which amounted to $3.75

The cup of silver mentioned in the title of this post was indeed gained the hard way....we won the Legion Labour Day Ball Tournament. Who is that bouy kneeling in the front row on the far right?
