Silver groat from Henry VI of England struck in Calais, France 1430-1431. About the size of a US half dollar. Sterling silver ( 92.5% ). Found 3 weeks ago in England.

Wow ... a 1400's silver coin - a killer find !

Beautiful shape as well! Congratulations on a superb find! Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks Surf n Turf. The pictures do not do justice to this coin at all.

Amazing...a coin that predates Columbus! Now that's history!

Congratulations! It's hard enough to find a modern silver half dollar, but one from the 1400's is a find of a lifetime.

Thanks madforclad.

Thanks ChicagoJohn
