Silver groat from Henry VI of England struck in Calais, France 1430-1431. About the size of a US half dollar. Sterling silver ( 92.5% ). Found 2 weeks ago in England.

Well hell, that beats the heck out of my 180 year old silver coin I just posted. Great find, wish we had some of that stuff on our side of the pond.

Hodr I would still love to find one of the Capped Bust silver coins.

But this was an AWESOME feeling seeing this big silver coin come out of the ground. This coin has been at the top of my most wanted list for a LONG LONG time Hodr.
