Silver Cache

I will receive my new Explorer XS today and tomorrow I will go to hunt for a Silver Cache buried at 2 ft deep in a wooden box of 40x60x60 cm (1.5x2x2 ft) size filled with silver coins. I was looking for this with a Fisher Gemini 3 and with a Grret Master Hunt (very first of it series, dated on 1980)very old and I do not trust on this devices (hard to get stable with Gemini 3 and doubts on the Garret about if it is working fine.
Then I would like to know if someone of you can suggest to some settings for the explorer, the ground almost have no problem with mineralization but the place has a lot of iron and aluminium trash (crowncaps, pulltabs and cans).
Thank's a lot for any advice.

If its really only 2 feet deep it should blast your ears off.. ubless its completely covered by iron, you should be able to run a high right pattern and still see a cache that big at that depth.. crank up the sensitivity and put it in manual. maybe run in ferrous audio if you run wide open or iron mask.. I bet a pattern made with just the top of the screen maybe a half inch open would knock out most tabs

Jim,
With "top of the screen maybe a half inch open" do you mean something as the Carl's program?
For every one:
To keep away the sounds from the iron trash as crowncaps or furniture (as chairs or beds made of iron), what is your setting advice on Iron Mask?
