Has anyone ever found silver bracelets on the 250 that have Id'd as nickel? I have found 2 in the last 2 weeks that came in under nickel/pulltab. Wondering if garrett is beginning to go out of whack.

All my silver bracelets hit on silver. Get something you know for sure is silver and test it on the Ace. Italy has put out a lot of imitation jewelry that says one thing and is another. It has been on a lot of post.

It could also be nickel silver. Different compositions create different readings but then we must always remember detectors offer probable ID's - not exact. No detector made is 100% accurate on ID's. If one relies solely on the display for accurate ID they will be in for many disappointments.

Real silver usually ID's on Dime on my 250. Gold, and lots of "junk" jewelery come up on, or near the Nickel tab. You simply must dig those Nickel sounds, especially checking tot lots.
