Silver better with 12khz?

Why did Tesoro pick 10khz for the silver, why not 12khz? I've heard that 12khz is a little better for small gold. So why put the silver at 10khz?

I think that discrimination plays a bigger part in finding the goods than what frequency the detector operates at. The difference between 10 & 12 kHz isn't beans but there is a big difference when it comes to Tesoro's ED-120 and ED-180 discrimination. ED-180 detectors goes lower on the discrimination scale and allows lower conductive items to come through. Steve.
