Silver and more!....

Went to an old stand by site. Got 5 wheats, a 1940 nickel, a 1960 D Silver Rosie, and a 1928 Mercury dime. The merc was ugly! See my electrolysis post below. Was hoping the little compact had coins in it but not to be. The Rosie was in the hole with two wheats.

Excellent finds Mike, congrats!

That's awesome that you have that skill, or that skill and that detector to pin down the silver.
Its very rare for me to nail down the silver after finding the wheat's. God Bless and congrats!
What kind of detector?

who dug a whole about 8 inches wide and 5 inches deep and left half of one of those on top of the hole. I noticed it about 50 or so ft away and went over to fill in the hole. I checked the hole and the other half was still in there and it was a Buffalo and a few pennies.

Glad you can get out. Silver always makes for a good day.

That is a good hunt there. It is amazing how that coin looked after cleaning.
