Silver.....and more clad

Went back to my clad hole today. Got another 178 coins out of the spot, my hunting partner got another 78 coins on top of that. This gives me a total of 487 clad coins pulled out of this little 30 x30 area. Insane....still don't know how they all got there, but there is still more. I just got tired of picking them out of the ground. So I quit after about 2hrs. Went back out later to another area that I hunt. Told the wife that I felt like I was going to find some silver today. After about 20 minutes of searching, I found a 1953 Rosie and some more clad.....and a pretty cool bronze(?) buckle. All in all...it was a good day.

Nice!

Maybe if you can get a feel for the average period of dates on the coins, you might be able to associate it with a particular event or structure that was there. Maybe a fountain that people threw money into, or a ticket booth for some event, or who knows?

And the more you dig, the more surprises you get. Not all those coin sounding beeps are coins. A lot of rings will surprise you.:smoke:

I wouldn't know John....I'm pretty sure you've found all the rings in North America.....but I hope to find out some day...lol. Only ring I've found is by metal detecting my wedding band on my finger. :D It comes up as a pull tab.lol
