Hit a couple of hammered parks yeterday and almost everything I dug was at 6" or less and masked by iron/trash.The 3 ringer was in the clear but at about 9".Amazing what the E-Trac will do for you if you dig those one way iffy signals.I also dug several large rusty bolts and spike nails but well worth it to be able to pull a few more keepers.
Also got several wheats not pictured.Sorry about the small pictures but only had my DroidX on hand.....

Nice finds from a hammered park. Looks like it was well worth it. Cogratulations, the E-trac is a great machine.

The Etrac is a awsome detector for sure !!!!

This guy is steady gettin the goods! Man I wish I lived in a better location unless someone would like to put up with me for a few days LoL

Thanks for the pictures Ray! Congratultions on the finds.

I tell Dr. Bob to hide them better, but he just keeps hiding them shallow and in the nails....but he still hangs on the notion that you won't discover 'em!!!!

That's funny:rofl:. I tell you though, at first I tried to bury them deeper but he went out and bought a T#@O##R@#N@@A#@D@#O coil so that didn't work so I figured hiding them in the iron would work better. Come to find out he is too dadgummed skilled. Oh well:shrug:

Great job Ray!!!!!!!

I love those hard hit parks, when people say nothing left hear. I say ya right, and prove them worng ever time. Vary nice finds Ray Mo......

wondering if you could expound on what, if any, little things that tells you to dig that iffy signal. Thanks in advance for your experienced insights on using the E-Trac.

The one way signals that you can tell a big piece of iron is just beyond your coil a few inches are the ones I go after. You can wiggle the coil and get a nice tone but nothing at 90 degrees because the big iron causes a null.

What I try to do is while getting the nice signal with the one way wiggle is to turn just a few degrees either direction and if the signal still sound fairly good in that narrow window I dig in the middle of the coil where the signal was best.If I try to use pinpoint mode it will latch on to the big iron but the narrow wiggle is quite accurate and often times it is a good target just a few inches from the iron.I would say about a fifty-fifty deal for me.

Sometimes it is a long rusty bolt or large nail that fools me but other times it is silver and I love a good challenge.

Another thing i do when in a private field or timber is dig the iron first and then see what is left. With a little practice you can get a feel for the difference between a regular iron false and a masked target.

It seems to me that I can tell my coil is a bit further away from the big iron than it should be to be a false signal alone. That and most iron falses usualy onle sound gooe when you have the coil pointed directly at them so the few degrees shift gives them away.

You can experiment with this with a big rusty nail or bolt and a coin on the surface and get a better understanding of what the E-Trac is tying to tell you.....
