3.11gram 9k Gold wedding band. Hallmarked London Assay office, 1980 Hallmark. Maker's mark is R.J.
 
Gold Rings on beaches and Silver in school yards
Bright Diamonds in my sand scoop and Platinum at low tide
Earring in a Tot Lot.....Old coins in the park

What was the reading on the detector for that ring ?

And what is the K mark ?

53-54 and no K mark, it's hallmarked (crown)375 which = 9k in British assay language.
