" Silver and gold "----------PLATED:thumbdown:

It was a so so day. I only found one wheat. I should have done better at the houses I MD'ed today, but that's what keep it all interesting. Other days it's I can't believe what I found. The two houses I MD'ed were from the 40's. They had a house behind them from the 1800's. The spoon says Madison silver plate.

The cuff link is gold plated. I think it is a cuff link?

I haven't figured out what the badge was for, but I like it.

Neat stuff John. I like the badge also. Wonder if it's from a person that was a security person for Kellogs where they made Crispies......ehehe..

Don't forget to post it on that other forum where you show it, they tell you what it is........

I see a lot of people find marbles, do you just happen across them while digging?

All the time. We have had a lot of famous marble factories around here. Some are worth a lot of money. I don't know one from another, so I just keep putting them in a jar. I even have a few clay marbles.

I sent a picture of it to a panel of experts. We'll see what they say.:nerd:

What is on the other side? It looks like a pinback badge that would identify an employee of a company. Such badges were often used by construction companies, especially if they were working on a defense project or a job that required security. A little research in the city or business directories in the area where it was found might reveal the name of the K Company.

John in ID

Probably a pinback.

From another poster:
INFANTRY COMPANY " K " Spanich American War badge. Nice....Buddy.

Not to sure about that. All the Spanich American War badges I see have Company first. I think not but it would be nice.
