Silver and Gold in the week leading into the summer

Can't claim all the glory; wife found two sterling silver pieces in a thrift shop early in the week for one dollar each: a 15 gram bracelet and an 11.9 gram chain.

Got to Rehoboth Beach for a day on Saturday. I took the Excal, as it had been feeling a little lonely lately, and found myself wishing I had taken one of the PI's since there were very few targets. Nothing was coming up deeper than about 6 inches. Soft sand, hard chop to the waves and crowded. As people were leaving it was easier to concentrate on the wet sand at the cut where the waves were chopping. About 30 minutes before low tide a shallow sweet sound and one scoop brings up a 3.9 gram 14K ring. Looking forward to the summer and hoping to get more hunting time.
Cheers,

Your wife has a good eye!! Your ring isn't shabby either. Great finds for the both of you.

WTG TVR!! First Gold with the Excalibur?

Wife has been doing pretty well spotting precious metal in the yard sales, flea markets and thrift stores for pennies on the dollar of melt value.

It is the fourth gold find for me with the Excal. First was Atlantic City in June 2011.
Cheers,

Congrads on all and Looks like she has payed for herself!!..

Hope you start saving a little Bay time, I'll be free of the chains next summer..Just got a Pirate ship, got a little custom paint and rescue work to be done to her, I'll be looking for you come next early spring.

Nice boat. 4 stoke should be quiet, and help with range. Small enough to get in close to shore in the shallows. Plenty of little coves to find.
You will have fun!

PS The four gold pieces I've found with the Excal have been light; 2 were 10K; 2 were 14K. Even adding in silver and coins, I need one or two more golds to declare it paid for.
