I went to a beach that had recently been replenished, and with a few storms that have blown through, it had slowly removed the sand down below, down to its original base leaving the new sand up top. I worked the washouts and started finding very old fishing weights from the 40s and earlier then black rotting smelling black sandy mud 4 " below the sand at that point I was pretty certain I was in a hot area. At the base of the washout, was this silver religious medal
(note pics before and after electrolysis cleaning) that was day one. The following day and another washout latter, at the base, produced this gold wedding band. Also found a lot of very old junk items so there's a whole lot more items still waiting to be uncovered. Its great to have areas that are still producing even though this winter has been super lousy, Bill
