SILVER AND GOLD FOUND ON AN OLD BEACH

I went to a beach that had recently been replenished, and with a few storms that have blown through, it had slowly removed the sand down below, down to its original base leaving the new sand up top. I worked the washouts and started finding very old fishing weights from the 40s and earlier then black rotting smelling black sandy mud 4 " below the sand at that point I was pretty certain I was in a hot area. At the base of the washout, was this silver religious medal:yikes: (note pics before and after electrolysis cleaning) that was day one. The following day and another washout latter, at the base, produced this gold wedding band:yikes:. Also found a lot of very old junk items so there's a whole lot more items still waiting to be uncovered. Its great to have areas that are still producing even though this winter has been super lousy, Bill

Gold and Silver in the same hunt....good stuff!
Congratulations. Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Great finds! Congrats!

From what the Republicans are saying, there will be no more replenishing of beach sand paid for by the federal government. Seeing how most states are now bankrupt, it looks like beach replenishment will be a thing of the past.

Very NIce RP, Jersey Shores is the place to be...........year round........Hey, I know that smell..like raw sewage? Does that top medal have a date on it?

Couple very nice finds. Looks like you have a spot to work hard for a while. Any coins coming up with this older stuff?

Rich, Not as much coins as I thought. I'm finding more heavier items in the sand which is odd but under 4 inches of sand there is dense black sand and no where for the heavy items to go

Congrats on the super finds RP! That gold band has got to have some friends around. HH!
