I called my detecting buddy up today. We tried the beach for a while and the clad count was way down so we hit the tot lot and then the park. Both of those places werent paying out so we went to the school yard.

He has pulled numerous silver coins out with his mxt but no silver coins so far with the v3 and was wondering if it was hunted out.... Well its not.

He pulled a 10k gold ring out and around 8.00$ in clad... Way to go Vince. Sorry I didnt get a picture of it.

I got around 3.00$ in clad and this wonderful thing. My first silver quarter and my first silver coin with the v3. It was between two iron targets and I had to use pinpoint to make sure that it was not a ghost signal from the iron surrounding it.

Vdi was in the 85-93 range and said 6" down, well the depth was a little off it was closer to 8". It was below the dirt fill and then down below a rock layer and then finally in a hard pack. And this was with the grass being 2-3" inches tall. The v3i and the d2 coil must have seen it at 10-11" of distance.

Which is amazing if you ask me, and this is with neighboring iron targets, not wood chips in a tot lot where I have seen 14" quarters.

I finally feel like I have this machine dialed in.:clapping:

Very nice! If you put the V3 over a good deep target, It will see it if you have it set right.

Congratulations on the silver, and it is amazing how deep the V can get and it is true about the 14" in tot lots. I hunted a playground yesterday and consistently digging quarters at 10-12 inches deep and I could still hold the coil several more inches above the ground with a solid response.
