Silver and Gold finds....When to sell?

Goldstrike

Well-known member
Just wanted to throw a question out to everyone here.
Like most detectorists, I have some gold and silver rings/finds stashed away just waiting for precious metal prices to go up. These silver Eagle's (999 pure silver) are just a part of what I have waiting for the day when the prices go up. The proverbial question is when to sell? I guess it boils down to IF you need the money then sell, if you don't need money then don't sell! so maybe I should be content with that answer?
My question is are you just content watching and waiting for so long bearing in mind gold and silver prices have been staying at the same level for so long now. What are your feelings about waiting for ever or do you just cash in your finds as soon as you get them or wait and watch for who knows how long?

I always felt you never sell precious metals , you either spend or trade it
Interesting coins--who makes them?

Sprchng.......interesting response! thanks! I acquired these 1oz coins more than 15 years ago now and I do not know where they were made....sorry!

that gold will top $2000 an ounce and silver will hit $50 by the year's end but they just want you to invest in precious metals. I also have some stashed away, we will wait and see. HH

I guess that would have to be an individual decision. I have a few dollars in sterling and some gold that I have found. Since I do not need the money I just keep it and take it out from time to time to relieve the thrill of the hunt and the find.

If you don't need the money, hold on to 'em. As the post above mentioned, Pms are set to move. I watch the market intently as I am heavily invested in PMs. The market is being supressed right now because they (the FED) are trying to keep the value of the dollar up so everyone doesn't dump their T-Bills and crash the economy. They are slowing their cash injections into the market and a lot of experts are predicting a market crash or huge correction sometime this fall. Watch ZeroHedge or Max Keiser for more info. PMs are a safe haven when the poop hits the fan.
