Always move the iron out of the way, if you can. Then check the hole again. This 1944 war nickel was hiding under the large chunk of rusty iron. Glad I moved it. You can actually see it as soon as I moved the iron. Also pictured from the same hunt are 1953 Canadian dime, and a 1923 worn Mercury dime.
