I shot these this morning for a contest on another forum and thought you guys might like them...or not. I had fun capturing them and that's really the point. Right??

Interesting theme of shooting beach runners Big. You were trying to capture their figures as dark as possible, correct? As for the donkey, I can honestly say I had never seen a baby donkey until now! lol And I must say that I prefer the full grown version to the baby version. That donkey does look like a baby version of our donkey though. HH

You are correct sir!! The point of the contest is to shoot silhouettes of things. I probably won't win, I never do, but it's always fun. You don't really win anything, you just get to pick the next theme for everyone else to try and photograph.

In normal photographs, you light up the front of the subject, but in silhouette photography, you are lighting up the back side of the subject, making the subject appear as a black outline (silhouette) as per se. I am not a very good teacher, or photographer for that matter, so I am providing a link in the event that you or anyone else is interested in producing a few silhouette pictures. Kelley (Texas) :)
