silly depth on this 5" coil

using the standard gold bug , with the 5" coil in all metal 75 sens, 12 threshold i got a soft reapeatable signal and down over 15" came up this fine jar lid , i also found a 2"x2" chunk of a stove down 12" very good signal and a cut nails at 8" boy this thing is deep , i used to think that 19khz could not get down in the ground but i think its more that it rezinates with certan metals mor that others, kinda like when you hit a C on the piano you will find all the other C notes will beging to resinate without being struck and yet the note next to the C will not ring at all and i think in a similar way thats why it will not hit deep on silver 19khz just does not resinate with silver well just a thought

Very True !!!!!

I had the same thing happen with my 5" coil.Kept digging down-and down. Now getting to the point where i am thinking its a false signal.Nope signal got stronger with all the dirt removed Vdi 91.After about 12" or so,hard to dig with my lesche digger that far down.Found a 3-4" square piece of alumnium or tin? We have had alot of rain so the moist soil is increasing the depth. Its normally dry as a bone up here.
