Do you remove the battery "O" ring clean it and then coat it with the silicone grease or do you just rub it on the ring in place. I'm planning my first water hunt in a couple of days. Thanks for the help.

Remove the O ring and clean and then coat with grease, it doesn't take much. Be sure to clean both channels where the O ring goes too, a Q tip works real good.

I remove it clean it and channel then lube and replace. No problems so far. A Penny works great to get it out.don't use any thing sharp.
