Early yesterday afternoon, while visiting an area just South of the downtown area of San Antonio, I spotted the remains of two old buildings, and decided to take pictures of the signs or markings of the buildings.
This sign was on the side of an old gas station that was being remodeled as some type of dog grooming business. It appears that the building was originally of brick construction and stucco. I loved the small tile border at the top of the face of the building. Under the stucco, you can see the old bricks. I thought to myself that the old sign would look great in my garage, displayed on the wall near my tool chest and work bench.

I thought it was neat the way that "Ice" was engraved at the top of this old chinese ice house that closed down sometime in the 1960's. It is all fenced off and will probably be torn down sometime in the future. Fred Kelley
