Signal Loss?

If I take a small silver coin + 2" length of steel wire, hold both items in the same hand, and do an air test with the stock coil, the XS nulls out and can't pick up on the silver coin..?
Is there any adjustment that ensures you don't lose good targets lying next to small iron, because the XS is nulling out all targets at this point.
Thanks Guys

Ok fellas who and where do I send my explorerxs to have it fixed???? does anyone know how long it will take???
Thanks Fellas

I assume you are only using nails discrim, if so I have no fears of not finding silver/good targets next to iron especially when recovery is set in fast. Another point when using this set up do not be afraid to dig targets that show in the disc pattern one way, and along the bottom of the screen from the opposite direction. On 2 occassions I have dug this sort of signal and found lead weights with iron central suspension loops.

What settings were you using? try iron mask set down around -14

Jim...using Smart Adv..with just coins accepted.
Will try the suggestions Guys...Thanks yr input
