Sierra detector choice

I want to purchase a detector for use in the summertime Sierra prospecting. Really looking to prospect, dry creek beds and low water level streams. The Mine lab GPX 5000 is the first choice. But I have not seen any video of the unit being used in the Sierra

You can use the 5000, or any other Pi in the Sierras...be sure to get a water-proof coil if you will use it in the water. Montana Bob Dansie lives in the foothills now and uses one...he is not alone...check out the other gold forums ( there have mostly Minelab users posting)...arizona outback, Bill Southerns site, Rob allisons site...loads of info...also the TDI forum on this site...

I would look into the white's TDI first.Cost you way, way, way less.It can use minelab coils and is made in the USA.

I know a dealer that has a used one for sale PM me if your intrested.Im sure it was a demo modle and comes with a warrenty.
