Side walks can be a great spot to hunt,,.,. I'm talking the grass between the road and the side walk... From time to time you will have some people come out yelling at you, thinking they own it... But hey City Property.... The SE Sniffed out some goodies the before the ground froze up... I pulled eleven Wheat's.. One 1893 Barber " DEEP" Two Mercs 1939, and i think a 1923.,, "pretty whore out" a 1952 D Roosevelt.. and a 1966 Canadian dime.. I also pulled a pendant with the letters FM. EHG. FRIEDRICH,,, " I'm going to have to Google him lol " But yeah Those side walks hide some silver and other goodies for sure!!!!!

Great finds. The grass strips next to the sidewalk is one of my favorite places to hunt.Merry Christmas.Bill

Those strips are good places rarely hunted. Also, they pick up a lot from the winter snow plows. When i hunt the edges of parking lots i pick up a lot of clad just from the show being cleared. It can get trashy thou. Is that Stalin??

That pin may be a tough one to look up.
FM clearly stands for field marshall, and there are a number of other examples of your pin out there for sale on the net, but I can't seem to find out who EHG friedrich was, other than most likely a field marshall in the austro-hungarian army during world war I. The pin was made in 1915 apparently, and was engraved by a Rudolf Marschall, an austrian engraved. According to one site:

Rudolf Marschall, Professor Imperial Chamber ->
Appointed Chamber Medalist by Emperor Francis Joseph, 1903; coined medals of the Popes: Leo XIII., Pius X., Benedict XV., Pius XI.; Monarchs: Emperor Francis Joseph, Charles, Empress Zita, Emperor Wilhelm, King Ferdinand of Bulgaria; Archidukes: Francis Ferdinand, Rainer Wilhelm, Grandduchess Clementine of Coburg; Bishops: Cardinal Merry de Val, Nuncio Sibilia, Bishop Stro
